Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using any part of WeddingsLink ("the Service", "we", "us"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms. We will notify registered users by email of material changes.

2. Description of Service

WeddingsLink is a digital wedding invitation and baby registry platform. It allows users to create, customize, and share wedding invitation pages and baby gift registries. Features include RSVP management, photo galleries, gift registries, and event timelines.

Creating and editing a wedding page or baby gift registry is always free. A one-time payment is required to publish your page and make it publicly accessible.

3. Account Registration

You must be at least 18 years old to register. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to update it as necessary.

You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at support@weddingslink.org if you suspect unauthorized use.

4. Payments and Access

Publishing a page on WeddingsLink requires a one-time payment. Pricing is as follows:

• Wedding Page: $20 USD one-time payment — grants 1 year of public access.
• Baby Gift Registry: $10 USD one-time payment — grants 1 year of public access.
• Extra Photo Storage: $2 USD per 500MB block — grants 1 year of additional storage for a specific wedding page.

All payments are processed by Paddle, our payment processor and merchant of record. Paddle handles all tax compliance. By making a purchase, you also agree to Paddle's Terms of Use.

Access is granted immediately upon payment confirmation. Payments are not recurring — there are no automatic charges. You will receive a reminder email 7 days before your access expires and may choose to renew manually.

5. Access Expiry and Data Deletion

Each purchase grants access for exactly 1 year from the date of payment. When access expires:

• Your page is taken offline (unpublished) but your account and content remain intact for a 30-day grace period.
• During the grace period you may renew to restore public access immediately.
• After the 30-day grace period, all content associated with that page (photos, story, RSVPs, gifts) is permanently deleted. Your account itself is not deleted.
• Expiry is per page — if you have multiple wedding pages, only the expired one is affected.

We strongly recommend exporting any content you wish to keep before your access expires.

6. User Content

You retain ownership of all content you upload (photos, text, names, etc.). By uploading content, you grant WeddingsLink a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, and transmit that content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.

You are solely responsible for your content. You must not upload:

• Content that infringes on third-party intellectual property rights
• Obscene, defamatory, or unlawful content
• Personal data of individuals without their consent
• Viruses or malicious code

We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these terms without prior notice.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Violate any applicable laws or regulations
• Impersonate any person or entity
• Collect or harvest user data without consent
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
• Use the Service for commercial purposes beyond those explicitly permitted (e.g., wedding planning businesses are welcome, spam is not)

8. Intellectual Property

All platform software, design, templates, and branding are the exclusive property of WeddingsLink. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer any part of the Service.

9. Service Availability

We strive for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may perform maintenance, upgrades, or emergency fixes that temporarily affect availability. We are not liable for downtime or data loss resulting from circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

10. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, WeddingsLink shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service.

Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

11. Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. You may close your account at any time by contacting support@weddingslink.org. Upon termination, all your data will be permanently and immediately deleted.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws. Any disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration or in the courts of the jurisdiction where WeddingsLink is registered, as applicable.
